On the afternoon of November 2, on the occasion of the 2023 China Textile Industry "the Belt and Road" Conference, the 2023 China Textile International Capacity Cooperation Enterprise Alliance Council was held in Keqiao, Shaoxing, Zhejiang Province in order to respond to the new strategic environment change, effectively play the role of China Textile International Capacity Cooperation Enterprise Alliance, and promote the healthy and sustainable development of international capacity cooperation in the textile industry. The meeting summarized the work achievements of the alliance over the past two years, analyzed the changes in international trade and foreign investment choices, and the alliance enterprises engaged in exchanges and sharing on hot and complex issues related to foreign investment.

Xu Ying, Vice President of the China National Textile and Apparel Council, President of the Textile Industry Branch of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, and Executive Director of the China Textile International Capacity Cooperation Enterprise Alliance, pointed out in his 2023 report on the work of the alliance council that since its official establishment in March 2017, the alliance has closely focused on three service platforms: "bridge cooperation," "investment promotion activities," and "information research,"to build a platform for industry enterprises to smoothly and orderly integrate into the global industrial chain and carry out mutually beneficial cooperation; To maintain and enhance the international leading advantage of the textile industry in the global supply chain, and to provide services for promoting high-level international development of the industry.
Liu Yaozhong, Deputy Director of the International Trade Office of the China National Textile and Apparel Council, Deputy Secretary General of the Textile Industry Branch of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, and Secretary General of the China Textile International Production Capacity Cooperation Enterprise Alliance, released a special report titled "From International Trade Changes to Foreign Investment Choices" to introduce the foreign trade and foreign investment situation of the textile and clothing industry.

In the past two years, despite the impact of the epidemic, the industry's determination to actively participate in international cooperation and adhere to the "the Belt and Road Initiative" has not wavered. More and more textile and clothing enterprises are actively building their own "double cycle" development pattern under the new situation. This can be seen from the continuous development and growth of the alliance team. It is reported that as of now, there are a total of 142 members of the alliance, of which a total of 19 new member units were added from 2022 to 2023.
In addition, the alliance has reached cooperation intentions with the Shengfei Integrated Industrial Park located in Benin and Central and Western Africa and the Mexico Deyi Office located in Mexico and Central America, and held signing ceremonies at the meeting.
As of now, the alliance has established overseas liaison offices in seven countries, including Egypt, Cambodia, Myanmar, Vietnam, Zambia, Benin, and Mexico, to support member units’ expansion into various regional markets.
The alliance not only builds a bridge for external cooperation but also serves as a platform for communication and exchange among industry enterprises. Representatives from the liaison offices of the alliance in seven countries shared the industrial development and latest cooperation trends of their respective countries at the meeting, and representatives from member units of the alliance also spoke freely, sharing their experiences and insights.
As a comprehensive service platform to promote international production capacity cooperation in the textile industry, the Alliance will actively promote foreign investment in the textile industry and international cooperation under the framework of the Belt and Road in the future, promote the sustainable and healthy development of the global textile industry chain and supply chain, and contribute textile power to the high-quality joint construction of the Belt and Road in the new stage.
