On 17 October 2025, the China National Textile and Apparel Council (CNTAC) Social Responsibility Office successfully convened the “Expert Consultation Meeting on the *CSC9000T Textile and Apparel Enterprise Social Responsibility Management System (2025 Edition)*” online. The meeting aimed to solicit extensive feedback from experts across various sectors on the revised content of the CSC9000T, thereby propelling the industry’s social responsibility initiatives to a higher standard.

Dr. Liang Xiaohui, Chief Researcher at the CNTAC Social Responsibility Office, began the meeting by introducing the attending experts and expressing sincere gratitude for their long-standing support of the industry’s social responsibility efforts. Regarding the background of the revision, Dr. Liang highlighted two key factors: the emergence of numerous new international standards necessitating alignment with contemporary developments, and the current critical juncture for the industry’s social responsibility work, with the 2025 edition representing a significant overhaul of the baseline document. He emphasized that despite version updates, the core philosophy and fundamental approach of the CSC9000T remain unchanged, focusing on enhancing corporate management to address ongoing external environmental shifts. The system also maintains an open stance, continuously adapting to new global sustainable development governance trends and the domestic “dual-carbon” goals and digital transformation demands.

Subsequently, Wang Jing, a researcher at the CNTAC Social Responsibility Office, provided a systematic introduction to the revisions of the *CSC9000T Textile and Apparel Enterprise Social Responsibility Management System (2025 Edition)*. She reviewed the four revision processes since the initial release of CSC9000T in 2005 and elaborated on the updates and expansions in the 2025 edition across four dimensions: management system, human-oriented responsibility, environmental responsibility, and market responsibility.

During the expert opinion exchange segment, numerous experts from universities, industry associations, and international organizations actively participated, conducting an in-depth discussion on the draft of the CSC9000T (2025 edition). There was a consensus that the revision is comprehensive, structurally clear, and highly aligned with the new global sustainable development trends and the industry’s practical needs for high-quality development. It is an advanced management system with both foresight and guidance. Specific suggestions for further optimization were also proposed regarding term definitions and applicability to small and medium-sized enterprises.

In conclusion, Zheng Jian, International Projects Director at the CNTAC Social Responsibility Office, summarized the meeting. She thanked the experts for their valuable insights and stated that their suggestions would be carefully reviewed to refine the content of the CSC9000T (2025 edition). She also invited all participants to attend the “Launch of the *CSC9000T Textile and Apparel Enterprise Social Responsibility Management System (2025 Edition)* and Industry Social Responsibility Construction Exchange Seminar” scheduled for 28 November 2025 in Beijing, to jointly witness the official release of this significant outcome.
